May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you. (Psalm 25:21, ESV)
It’s been said that integrity is doing what is right when no one is looking.
Sometimes, when we have to wait, we can get ourselves into trouble thinking, “No one’s watching, what difference will it make?”
Someone is always watching. You are never alone. God knows.
Let your integrity preserve you…wait for him.
I have been enjoying these so much, Tina! And I’ve sent the whole series to my nephew, who is in prison until next fall. I hope he’s as encouraged as I have been! Blessings, and thank you!

Mary, I’m so glad to hear you have enjoyed these brief devotions and that you have cared to share them. As one who has spent time incarcerated, I know the perils associated with that kind of waiting and the need for the blessings of God’s presence in the midst of it. A passage of scripture that came to me during that time was Micah 7:7-9
But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me. I must bear the indignation of the Lord because I have sinned against him, until he takes my side and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light; I shall see his vindication.
I’ll keep your nephew in my prayers.
